Noo Baby

I won't bore anyone with my essay ramblings today. It is only because "Heyy Baby" has already bored me to a state where I am in no mood of boring anyone else. I would suggest to get a DVD to watch it. Do not spend loads on a multiplex outing. But then people did like it, and cried too !!

It is a typical, rather a stereotyped-Akshay Kumar comedy. Almost like "Garam Masala". Only difference being this one has loads of bollywood sentiment and melodrama. And the worst part is that the comedy and the melodrama is mixed without any thought. So the movie doesn't really give you a chance to settle down. The emotions are constantly changing.

Add to that the ridiculous Fardeen Khan and you have 2 odd hours of torture. He looks really out of place between Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh. And the out-of-place, loud songs doesn't help with the sleep either. Though there are some good (comical) moments, the movie is fails in trying to balance comedy with an attempt to satisfy Indian emotions. It would have been much more tolerable had it tried to follow the comdey line only.

And it really is time for Akshay Kumar to come out of the same style of comedy. May be "Bhool Bhulaiya" will be a step forward.

PS: "God" makes a special appearance and in those 2-3 minutes can't keep himself from doing "Godgiri" !!
