Every day that goes by here in ISB, I envy those days during engineering more and more. It was so much better.
7 days before exams: Start thinking about exams.
6-5 days before exams: Still thinking.
4 days before exams: Go to one of the class-toppers/maniacs to get the material to photocopy.
3 days before exams: Get the photocopies done. Start panicking.
2 days before exams: Start studying. Spend half a day deciding what you should not even bother studying.
1 day before exams: Continue last step.
And still it did not make much difference. You passed alright. And you understood most of the stuff. But it is so much different here.
You do not do a "pre-read" (that is reading today what will be taught tomorrow), and you may as well sleep in class. There are 10 classes for each subject per term. That is 10% of the course in one class! And there is so much to study :(
Between all this, we really have some amazing professors. Only now am I truly realizing the USP of ISB. They make the class room a fun place to be. In spite of all the study you have to do, class room just seems to be the best place to be. Add to that the amazing diversity in the classes. Something I got a real taste of today while discussing a financial accounting case. There is really so much to learn from your peers as much as there is to learn from the faculty.
Yesterday we had a nice pool-party for our section. Just some good fun in between hours of slogging out with a couple of marketing cases. In case you wondering what was there at pool-party...pick up people, by all four limbs, swing them, and throw them into the pool. Simple :)
Time to get back to study :)
PS: Finally I made my CP :) That just makes the day so much better.
